The Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi Summer School launched its Sixth Session in partnership with ATC.

 

This year the Summer School program was hosted by the new, 1.5 hectare GZAAT campus on Lisi Lake. Modern design and architecture meet the students’ academic and technical needs and creates a cozy environment.

 

Academic Program

The first week of the Summer School was devoted to academic English language skills development - writing, reading and speaking. These skills are essential to deepen students’ knowledge and practice of successful use of the English language. The summer school program was created by leading American and Georgian teachers by taking into consideration the requirements of the University of Georgia and American specialists. For participation in the summer school the level of English language skills should be not lower than intermediate. 

 

The second week of the summer school was devoted to learn about each of the standard tests (SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT) specification. Students had an opportunity to practice their newly acquired English academic writing, reading and speaking skills within the format of standardized tests. 

 

Teachers

The Summer School faculty has academic and professional qualifications obtained at such leading organizations and institutions as Clark University, Model United Nations, University of Miami Farmer School of Business, Grenoble Graduate School of Business, Cambridge ESOL Examinations, Baylor University, and Open Society Center for International Education. 

 

Summer School Seventh Session resumes in July 2014.
